Tomorrow, December 19, the next round of peace negotiations will take place.
The agenda includes the following issues: the speedy implementation of the second stage of the prisoner exchange under “all confirmed for all confirmed” format; returning identity documents to people who have been exchanged on December 27, 2017; the transfer of people sentenced prior to the conflict to continue serving their sentence in the territory of Ukraine; the issue of searching for missing persons.
As for the prisoner exchange, it is our principled position that we are committed and fully respective to the Package of Measures to the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements. We insist on performing the exchange of all confirmed for all confirmed persons and express hope that the Ukrainian side would stop politicizing this issue.
