On 16 April, a meeting of the Republican Commission on resettlement of affected persons chaired by Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic Daria Morozova took place.
At the meeting, alternative solutions to improve the living conditions of persons affected as a result of hostilities in Donbass were discussed. Members of the meeting raised the issue of improving the effectiveness of Territorial Commissions in cities and regions, as well as local administrations as regards exploring opportunities to prepare objects intended for accommodating affected citizens.
The Commission continuously works on organising resettlement of citizens who suffered from injuries or material damage as a result of hostilities, as well as people persecuted by other states for supporting the Donetsk People’s Republic. The DPR Ombudsman facilitates providing humanitarian assistance to citizens, as well as resolving social and welfare issues of citizens.
