11 injured citizens reported to DPR Ombudsman Office this week

Unfortunately, the number of DPR citizens affected by hostilities increased last week.

Between 3 and 9 August 2018, 11 people sustained injuries as a result of armed aggression by Ukraine in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. This number includes 9 DPR servicemen, 1 civilian man and 1 civilian woman. 4 DPR servicemen and one Ukrainian serviceman died in the reporting period.

Also, the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman has been reported on a civilian woman born in 1939 who sustained acoustic trauma as a result of shelling in Gorlovka on 18 July.

Between 1 January and 9 August 2018, 217 people (including 134 DPR servicemen, 53 civilian men, 28 civilian women and 2 underage children) were injured as a result of armed aggression by Ukraine in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic; 106 persons died, including 8 women and 98 men, including 2 underage children.

Since the beginning of the conflict in the Republic, 4673 persons were killed, including 613 women and 4060 men, including 78 underage children.
