On 10 July, executives of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic held an on-site reception of citizens at the City Administration of Yasinovataia.
11 persons asked the human rights defenders for legal advice and assistance in restoring their rights. At the on-site reception, the following issues were raised: suspension of pension payments; granting accommodation due to destroyed housing; re-registering a child to another place of residence due to the opportunity to improve living conditions; disagreement with the actions of staff of the law enforcement agencies; establishing legal grounds for detaining a person; issuing passport of a DPR citizen.
As a response to the above questions, detailed clarification of the norms of the current legislation was provided. Three written appeals from citizens have been accepted for further consideration by the DPR Ombudsman within her competence.
