On 13 February, representatives of the Ombudsman Office in the Donetsk People’s Republic took part in a meeting of the Working Group of the Interim Commission of the DPR People’s Council on Activity Control and Coordination in the areas most affected by the armed aggression of Ukraine.
The meeting was devoted to the draft law On displaced persons, introduced by the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Daria Morozova.
The members of the Working Group defined categories of citizens eligible for being granted the status of displaced persons. Also, they discussed particular articles of the draft law regulating the application procedure for granting the status of a displaced person and determining the rights and obligations of the applicant.
The next meeting is scheduled for 20 February. The provisions of this legislative act will be further discussed.
