Representatives of DPR Ombudsman conduct inspection in Child Welfare Centre in Yenakievo

Staff the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Office conducted an inspection of the educational process and living conditions in Child Welfare Centre in Yenakievo, where children in difficult life situations aged 3-18 constantly live. At the moment, 43 children stay in the institution. The receive social, psychological, educational, medical, legal and other types of assistance.

The institution is a two-storey building. There are bedrooms, playrooms, rooms for self-study and meetings with parents, a computer classroom, office of a psychologist and a curriculum office, a music and a sports hall, a library, a medical unit, a laundry and bathrooms. Outside there is a football field and a playground.

The children attend General Education Schools and other educational institutions. Special attention is devoted to patriotic education. Also, children attend a drawing group, which has been opened in the institution. The pupils are actively involved in events and competitions designed to promote personal development and creativity.

The staff of the social centre take care of both physical and psychological health of pupils. Social and pedagogical correction is carried out based on individual needs of each child. The Centre facilitates that children return to their families.

As a result of the inspection, education and living environment for children in the Child Welfare Centre in Yenakievo received a positive assessment from the staff of DPR Ombudsman Office.
