Today, at the meeting with members of the Council of Ministers on social protection of displaced persons, Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko instructed the authorities to develop a mechanism for registering people entering the Republic to ensure payment of social benefits to them. This was reported today by representatives of the Head of the State.

“The Head instructed to develop a mechanism and start registering people entering the Republic,” they said. “These can be migration certificates, like border checkpoints in other countries, or mandatory registration in the Migration Service after a limited period of stay in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.”

According to the latest data, 8,296 temporary displaced persons have been registered in the Republic. According to representatives of the DPR Head Administration, the main problem of these people is the lack of registration, because they cannot receive any social benefits and pension payment unless they have registration.

“It is our responsibility to protect people who came to the Donetsk People’s Republic with good intentions,” Zakharchenko is quoted by his representatives. All institutions should jointly develop a mechanism for solving the problem as soon as possible. Every day there are more and more people who want to live in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. And the worse the situation in Ukraine becomes, the faster these numbers grow. The state must be ready to help these people. Everyone who needs it. ”

Earlier today it was reported that the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the Donetsk People’s Republic will create a database of temporary displaced persons in order to assign and pay social benefits to them. This proposal was introduced by the Head of the Ministry of Social Policy Larisa Tolstykina at the meeting with the Head of the Republic.
