Today is one of the saddest dates in the history of the Republic. Six years ago, as a result of a terrorist attack by Ukraine, the Hero of the Republic, the commander of the legendary Somali battalion, Mikhail Tolstykh (Givi), died.
For all of us, Givi is an example of courage, heroism and selfless love for the Motherland. He made an invaluable contribution to the creation and defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic. His memory will live forever.
I express sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mikhail. On this day, our prayers and thoughts are with you.
