Today, I have known about the detention of participant of the past exchange on 29.12.2019, Pastukhov Sergei Aleksandrovich, born on 02.03.2019, by the servicemen of the AFU.
During the bathing in a pond, situated near the settlement Aleksandrovka, Pastukhov S.A. swam across to the opposite shore, as a result of which I was in the territory that is under Ukrainian control. That day, Pastukhov S.A. was detained by the servicemen of the AFU and delivered to the Kurakhovo district police department.
At the present time, according to his relatives, Pastukhov S.A. transferred to the pre-trial detention facilities of Mariupol.
In turn, I ask you to pay attention that during the meetings of the working group on humanitarian issues of the CG in Minsk, the official representatives of Ukraine repeatedly expressed the opinion that the participants of exchanges are free citizens and without legal consequences have the right to cross the Contact Line, as well as guaranteed not to be prosecuted.
In connection with the above, I turned to the OSCE coordinator in the Contact Group to resolve the conflict in Donbas, Tony Frisch, in order to provide assistance to ensure free transit of Pastukhov S.A. to the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
