The Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office in the Donetsk People’s Republic and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, visited temporary accommodation centres, where displaced persons live, to hand over humanitarian aid.  The kits include food, personal hygiene products and medicine. 11 washing machines, 7 gas stoves and 5 boilers were also delivered and installed in the TACs. 1210 people received the aid; many of them have small children. These people really need help and support. The provision of humanitarian assistance continues.

We recall that 1153 IDPs currently live in the TACs of the Ombudsman’s Office, including 224 underage children. Since the beginning of the military conflict, 5238 referrals for temporary accommodation have been issued, 344 of them – in 2017. Mostly these are citizens whose housing had been damaged as a result of hostilities or located in the areas that are often targeted, as well as people under political persecution by Ukrainian authorities.
