About 78 % of citizens of Ukraine are in favour of separation of Donbass – Daria Morozova

Comments and statements of the Ombudsman News

Indiscriminate arrests and reprisals of Kiev towards dissenters were caused by the unstable political and socio-economic situation in Ukraine. The DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova told about it in an exclusive interview to the correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic. “Three years ago Kiev government forgot about one of the fundamental human rights – the freedom of speech. There was an opinion poll in Ukraine recently. Following its results, 78% of respondents said they agree to “let Donbass go” to end the war. People start to understand the real nature of the conflict and see the internal situation Ukraine. Naturally, it doesn’t suit the position of authorities and arrests continue”, – explained the DPR Ombudsman. Furthermore, according to Morozova, they unlawfully detain people, regardless of age and health condition of the detainees. There are very senior people kept in Ukrainian penitentiaries, who have no relation to the military conflict.
