More than twenty DPR citizens had a personal reception of the Ombudsman this week

In case of a violation of fundamental human rights, the one can file a complaint with the DPR Ombudsman or make an appointment for personal reception.

Between 21 and 27 April 2018, 23 persons visited the Ombudsman in person, 54 persons received counselling by the Appeals department, 32 citizens received counselling by the Working Group on Issues of Temporary Displaced Persons, and 12 persons received legal counselling.

Also, 8 written appeals were approved for consideration, 13 – have been reviewed among those received earlier. 32 calls were received via hotlines, 13 applications were received via e-mail. Since the beginning of 2018, the Ombudsman received 2164 appeals.

Reviewing complaints from citizens of the Republic, Ombudsman’s Office can identify most pressing social problems faced by them and reasons preventing citizens from fulfilling and defending their rights and freedoms.
