On 5 June, executives of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic held an on-site reception of citizens at the City Administration of Torez.
Seven persons asked for legal advice and assistance in restoring their rights from the human rights defenders. At the on-site reception, the following issues were raised: receiving solid household fuel (coal) or granting compensatory payments for its purchase, allowances for funeral expenses, financial assistance for drug purchase, restoration of housing.
Representatives of Ombudsman Office gave advice on the above-mentioned issues and provided a detailed clarification of the norms of the current legislation. A request from citizens has been accepted for further consideration by the DPR Ombudsman within her competence.
