The Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic sent an official request to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet Jeria. Daria Morozova asked her to give due consideration to the actions of Head of the UN Monitoring Mission in Ukraine Matilda Bogner and provide reassurance of impartiality and independence in the implementation of the mandate of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in relation to the conflict in Donbass.
This request was due to the public approval of the actions of the Military Prosecutor’s Office, in particular as regards the criminal prosecution of authorities and members of human rights organizations of the Donetsk People’s Republic, which she expressed at the joint briefing of 20 August.
