On 23 January, the Interim Commission of the DPR People’s Council on Activity Control and Coordination in the areas most affected by the armed aggression of Ukraine held a meeting. A law On Displaced Persons, drafted by the DPR Ombudsman was presented there.
During the discussion of the draft law, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Ministry of Health, and the city administration of Donetsk provided their comments and recommendations. The participants noted the relevance and complex nature of the issues under consideration and pointed out the need to develop effective mechanisms for their solution in order to ensure social protection of displaced persons.
The draft law will be further developed by members of the working group: representatives of the Interim Commission, the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman, city administration of Donetsk, related ministries and departments of the Republic.
