The DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Daria Morozova told about the importance of the environmental security issue in the observance of legitimate rights of citizens of the Republic in an exclusive interview with the correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic
“This is, above all, the issue of jobs and life support. Donbass is the mining region, so if enterprises stop operating, there will be no payments, people will simply lose their jobs. Therefore, I believe that the environmental security issue is directly related to the rights of residents of the entire Donbass region” -the Ombudsman said. Daria Morozova also stressed that the self-determination referendum of May 11, 2014 took place in all settlements of the former Donetsk oblast. Accordingly, the rights of residents of the part of Donbass controlled by Ukraine should not be left without the attention of the DPR authorities
