UN SHOWED BIAS AND POWERFULNESS, NOT RECOGNIZING ACCESSION OF NEW SUBJECTS TO RUSSIAN FEDERATION – DARIA MOROZOVA

Comments and statements of the Ombudsman News

The Human Rights Ombudsman in the DPR, Daria Morozova, commented to TASS on the adoption of the UN anti-Russian resolution:

The UN showed bias and powerfulness by adopting a resolution not recognizing the results of referendums on the accession of four new regions to the Russian Federation. The leading international organization has ignored the choice of millions of residents of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions in favour of Western interests.

In my opinion, the decision of the General Assembly undermines confidence in the human rights mission of the UN and the activities of the organization as a whole, especially considering that it is one of its units that has been monitoring the situation with human rights in Ukraine since 2014 and has objective information about acts of violence, the policy of terror and discrimination in this state.

The reports of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights reflect numerous manifestations of Russophobia in Ukraine. Information about illegal detentions, persecution and torture of dissidents among civilians by the Kyiv authorities has been confirmed. Violations of linguistic, social, economic rights of citizens have been recorded. The consequences of the economic, informational and transport blockade of Donbass for the civilian population of the region have been described.

I am sure that the UN clearly understands the true motives of citizens who do not want to live in the terrorist state of Ukraine. Therefore, the signed document is frankly politicized and has nothing to do with the real interests of the people.
