Comments and statements of the Ombudsman Detention News

Kiev has officially confirmed holding 82 supporters of the Republic in captivity, said DPR Ombudsman, delegate of the Republic to Humanitarian Subgroup Daria Morozova in an interview to DAN correspondent.

“Out of 260 people we are searching for in the territory of Ukraine, 82 have been officially confirmed,” Morozova said.

According to her, requests have been sent to the Ukrainian side to confirm that 32 other persons had been detained. The documents include evidence of this fact.

“These are either the copies of criminal case files or of first instance court’s verdicts or of a person’s appeal or links to media publications showing detention of a particular person,” she added.

Earlier, the DPR said that at the next meeting in Minsk (August 21-22), it shall request Kiev to provide the list of supporters of the Republic who have been detained (449 persons) since the start of the Joint Forces Operation in Donbass, as the JFO command announced.
