Interview of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic to a correspondent of the DPR official website.

A number of important issues have not been resolved for a long time due to the position of Ukraine, which shows no interest in implementing the Minsk Agreements. DPR Ombudsman told about this in an interview with a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“We had high hopes for the meeting in Minsk. The previous meeting, held a month ago, was thwarted due to the fault of Kiev. We planned to discuss a lot of issues, which are crucial now. The first issue is the second stage of the exchange of “all confirmed for all confirmed”, and the second one is the issue of missing persons. Unfortunately, the process is now at a standstill through the fault of Kiev. A representative of Kiev, Mrs Gerashchenko, was an hour late, so the discussion lasted for 45 minutes. We managed to discuss the first question only. The position of Kiev remains completely unchanged. In my opinion, Ukraine’s refusal to sign the Declaration is an unofficial statement that Ukraine has used and will be using torture. We cannot arrive at any solution, even for this humanitarian issue. This proves one point: Ukraine is not interested in implementing the Minsk Agreements,” Daria Morozova told.
