The following significant events for the Republic took place this week.
On March 7, as part of an exchange between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, 39 DPR servicemen were returned from enemy captivity. It should be noted that this is the biggest group of our defenders who have been released lately. At the moment, in the territory of one of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, they receive medical and psychological assistance, after that they will come home.
On International Women’s Day, it became known that the Deputy General Director of the Donetsk Republican Centre for Maternal and Child Health, DonNMU Professor Anna Zheleznaya was awarded the title of Honoured Health Worker of the Russian Federation. The lapel pin was presented to her personally by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a ceremony in the Kremlin. This gesture emphasizes the special attitude of the leader of Russia to the inhabitants of Donbass and their heroism!
At the same time, the liberation of the Republic from Ukrainian terrorists continues. Our defenders are conducting offensive operations along the entire front line, gradually pushing the enemy out. The position of AFU is especially deteriorating in the Artyomovsky and Avedeevsky directions. Thanks to the competent actions of Russian soldiers, the settlements of Dubovo-Vasilevka and Veseloe were liberated.
Having lost the opportunity to adequately resist our fighters on the battlefield, the punishers of the AFU once again tried to vent their anger because of military failures at the civilian population. Thus, on March 9, Ukrainian terrorists attacked a motor transport enterprise in the previously liberated Volnovakha from the American HIMARS. As a result, one person died and another was injured. Almost all buses were destroyed and damaged, public transport in the city was paralyzed. This terrorist attack is another proof of the West’s support for ruthless and cynical criminals.
Since the beginning of 2023, the Ombudsman received 4592 complaints.

2. Register of displaced persons and affected citizens
At the time of armed conflict, the civilian population living in the zone of fighting and near the contact line is often affected. With the view to protect the human right to life and security of the person, and to provide assistance to victims as a result of armed aggression by Ukraine, there social facilities (dormitories, preventative clinics, health care centres).
In accordance with the Order of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic No. 137 of 24.04.2018, territorial commissions in cities and districts are now responsible for accommodating affected civilians. They work under the supervision of the Republican Commission on Resettlement of Affected Persons chaired by the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman.
