Today in the House of Human Rights in Moscow, a working meeting was held between the Human Rights Ombudsman in the DPR, Daria Morozova, and the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova.
Daria Morozova informed the federal Ombudsman about the work of the human rights institution in the Donetsk People’s Republic, outlining the key areas of activity and the main issues that the population of the region concern about.
Following the meeting, Mrs Moskalkova supported the proposal of the Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin and agreed the candidate of Daria Morozova for consideration by the People’s Council of the DPR for further appointment to the position of the Human Rights Ombudsman of the DPR as a subject of the Russian Federation.
The Ombudsman of the Republic expressed gratitude the main human rights activist of Russia for her trust and assured her of the readiness to continue the work,
“I am sincerely grateful for the trust placed in me. This is a big responsibility both before citizens and before the state. And it will be an honor for me to continue my human rights mission in Donbass.”
