Today is the second anniversary of the Remembrance Day of the Children Victims in Donbass. This date is a symbol of sorrow and mourning. After all, for nine years now our region has been suffering from the bloody hands of the Kiev regime, which has chosen the civilian population of Donbass, in particular children, as its main target.
From 2014 to the present day, 228 children have become innocent victims of Ukrainian aggression. About 800 children sustained injuries of varying severity. By saying these horrific figures, we are not talking about statistics, but about every person who was forcibly deprived of his or her life. It is especially hurtful to realize that our children suffer the most. In order to perpetuate the memory of our angels, the Head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, established the date July 27 as the Remembrance Day of the Children Victims in Donbass.
Today Donbass is an integral part of Russia. Our Motherland mourns with us, supports us, protecting from the Kiev terror. I express my deep gratitude to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova, as well as to all the regional Ombudsmen who support our action of memory. We will never forget or forgive the blood and suffering of our young citizens.
Today’s date is intended to show the world the truth and save the lives of the children of Donbass. I call on the international community to fulfil its primary function, namely to protect human rights and show the truth, regardless of political and other preferences.
Children are our future and turning a blind eye to their death means to lead the world and all of humanity into the abyss.
