On 13 March, staff of DPR Ombudsman Office held an on-site reception of citizens at the City Administration of Gorlovka.
The reception was conducted together with representatives of the Pension Fund Departments in Kalininsky, Nikitovsky and Centre-City Districts of Gorlovka, as well as Migration Service of the Gorlovka City Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Gorlovka City Administration.
Seven citizens asked for Ombudsman’s advice and assistance in restoring their rights. At the on-site reception, citizens raised issues related to work of municipal communal services, calculation of pensions and particular aspects of labour legislation. Some of the attendees complained about ungrounded restriction to cross the state border.
Representatives of Ombudsman Office gave advice and provided detailed clarification of the norms of the current legislation. Some of the issues had been resolved right away.
As regards issues demanding further consideration, written appeals were accepted for further review by the DPR Ombudsman within her competence.
