In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the question of the correct behavior in public places becomes more and more relevant. Also, on the eve of holidays and weekends, we draw special attention of residents of the Republic to the need to comply with the established sanitary and epidemiological standards.
In a period of increased risk of the spread of the virus, citizens are advised, if possible, to observe the regime of self-isolation (except for persons who are required to comply with this regime, regardless of the circumstances), and to limit contact with people. In addition, it is not advisable to visit crowded places in order to avoid direct contact with others.
Along with this, it is not always possible to implement these recommendations. Each of us has a need to purchase food and medicine, as well as other valid reasons forcing us to use public transport and visit potentially dangerous places during this period.
If you find yourself in crowded places, remember the following rules:
- Maintain a safe distance of 2 meters from other people.
- Use personal protective equipment, medical masks, gloves, antiseptic.
- Only touch your face and eyes with clean (after washing) hands or a disposable tissue.
- Avoid touching handrails, handles, or other objects or surfaces in public places.
- Avoid welcoming handshakes and hugs.
- Limit any contact with people with signs of colds and SARS (coughing, sneezing).
- Don’t linger in public places unnecessarily.
In addition, after visiting public places, you should wash your hands with a soap and an antiseptic.
Also, during the holidays and summer holidays, due to temperature changes and the onset of warming, risk of contracting among children increases. Parents are advised to organize children’s leisure time at home, carefully monitor the state of children’s health, and if the child is on the street or in public places, provide him/her with all the necessary personal protective equipment. In addition, it should be remembered that in accordance with the Decree of the DPR Head No.57 of 14.04.2020, it is forbidden for persons under the age of 14 to stay in public places without being accompanied by one of the parents (guardian).
If you or your family members have symptoms of COVID-19, you should immediately seek medical help.
It should be remembered that self-isolation, personal hygiene, and observance of all necessary personal protective measures are the main conditions for maintaining life and health for you and your loved ones.
