State Duma deputies propose to reduce the time for consideration of citizens’ appeals about violations of the servicemen’s rights. Yesterday, the relevant draft federal law “On Amendments to the Federal Law “On the Procedure for Considering Appeals from Citizens of the Russian Federation” was submitted for consideration.
The draft law provides for a reduction in the time for consideration of appeals, which contain information about the facts of possible violations of the Russian legislation on defense, on mobilization training and mobilization, on military duty and military service.
If it is adopted, the authorized state bodies, which competence includes the consideration of these issues, local governments and their officials will be required to consider such applications within five days from the date of registration. The possibility of extending the term is no more than five days.
I support this initiative. I believe that it fully corresponds to the priority tasks of today. Our common goal is maximum support for defenders of the Motherland and their families. And the main goal of this draft law is to ensure timely protection and (or) restoration of possible violations of the rights or legitimate interests of military personnel.
