The DPR Ombudsman regularly monitors the observance of procedural rights of trial participants through the staff of the Ombudsman office who attend the hearings.

In accordance with paragraph 8, part 1, Article 11 of the Law of the DPR No. 30-INS of 03.04.2015 “On the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic”, the Ombudsman is authorized to attend the hearings of courts of all instances with the consent of a legal person for the benefit of whom the trial was declared closed.
