Representatives of Ombudsman Office visit Territorial Social Service Centre in Yasinovataia

Staff of the Human Rights Ombudsman Office inspected living conditions and social support for citizens of advanced age and persons with disabilities in the in-patient department for permanent residence of Yasinovataia Territorial Social Service Centre (for provision of social services). At the moment, medical care is provided to 40 people of various age categories who need nursing care.

The in-patient department is a three-level building with one-bed or four-bed wards for bedridden patients and those who can walk independently. On the ground floor there are catering facilities. For bedridden patients there is a possibility to have their meals in wards. Also, there is a canteen, an administrative office and bathrooms with adequate facilities.

Medical personnel provides necessary care to patients. There are mobility aids (walkers and wheelchairs) for disabled persons. The in-patient department has a procedure room, where patients have health examinations and undergo treatment, according to the doctor’s prescriptions.

As part of leisure-management, festive events are organised in the institution. Children from boarding schools often visit the Centre and show performances. Once a month, a priest visits the Centre.

As a result of the inspection, staff of the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Office gave positive assessment to living conditions and social support in the in-patient department for permanent residence of Yasinovataia Regional Social Service Centre (for provision of social services).

DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova expressed gratitude to the administration and staff of the facility for faithful implementation of their duties.
