Representatives of Ombudsman Office visit Territorial Social Service Centre in Snezhnoe

Staff of the Human Rights Ombudsman Office inspected living conditions and social support for citizens of retirement age and persons with disabilities in the in-patient department for temporary and permanent residence of Territorial Social Service Centre of the City Administration of Snezhnoe. At the moment, medical care is provided to 13 citizens with disabilities who need nursing care.

Patients of the in-patient department live in a spacious ward with separated living spaces. Also, the institution has a recreation room, an isolation ward for newly-arrived patients, a room for staff, a laundry, a storage space and other facilities.

The patients have their meals in a canteen or, if needed, in their ward. Medical services are provided by territorial health care institutions.

Cultural events devoted to holidays or memorable days and leisure-time activities are regularly organised in the in-patient department. The patients are visited by representatives of public organisations.

As a result of the inspection, staff of the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Office gave a positive assessment to living conditions and social support in the in-patient department for temporary and permanent residence of Territorial Social Service Centre of the City Administration of Snezhnoe.

DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova expressed gratitude to the administration and staff of the facility for faithful implementation of their duties.
