Staff of the Human Rights Ombudsman Office inspected living conditions and social support for citizens of retirement age and persons with disabilities in the in-patient department for temporary or permanent residence of Novoazovsk Regional Social Service Centre (for provision of social services). At the moment, medical care is provided to 18 persons with disabilities who need nursing care.
The in-patient department is a one-storey building with 11 two-bed wards, a recreation room with a TV-set and a library, a canteen, catering facilities and bathrooms. There is a recreation area outside with arbours and benches. There is also a storage facility and a garage.
Medical personnel look after patients 24 hours. The in-patient department has a procedure room, where patients undergo treatment, according to the doctor’s prescriptions.
As a result of the inspection, staff of the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Office gave a positive assessment to living conditions and social support in the in-patient department for temporary or permanent residence of Novoazovsk Regional Social Service Centre (for provision of social services).
DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova expressed gratitude to the administration and staff of the facility for faithful implementation of their duties.
