On October 18, as part of cooperation with state authorities aimed at improving the current legislation in the field of human and civil rights and freedoms representatives of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic attended a plenary meeting of the autumn session of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic of the 2nd convocation.
The deputies adopted in the second reading the draft law “On Amendments to the Law of the Donetsk People’s Republic No. 55 – IHC of 19 June 2015 “On Education”. The draft law provides for the new legal norm introduced in the targeted training contract, which requires ensuring that graduates of state educational institutions of secondary and higher vocational education are employed and carry out their professional activities for a period of minimum three years (in the fields of study established by the Government of the Donetsk People’s Republic). In addition, if this requirement is not fulfilled, the target training initiator will have to cover the expenses associated with the provision of social support measures. Meanwhile, it is no longer a requirement to pay a fine related to these expenses, as provided for in the current version of the DPR Law “On Education”.
The changes made will promote the education of qualified personnel, and therefore contribute to the national welfare of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The draft law comes into force on the day of its official publication on the website of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
