Staff of DPR Ombudsman Office inspected living conditions, social services and the provision of medical care in Specialized Boarding house No.1 in Makeevka.
At the moment, 51 citizens of advanced age and physically challenged citizens in need of constant care, household and medical services who were released from penitentiary institutions or transferred from other boarding houses for systematic violations of internal regulations live in the Boarding house.
The institution is located in a two-level building. There are 27 bedrooms, a library, medical and pharmacy units, a canteen, bathrooms and other premises. The administrative block is attached to the main block. Outside there is a walking area, a garden, a laundry, a garage and other small buildings.
Medical personnel look after patients 24 hours. Every two years, medical assessment is carried out in case of need.
Cultural events and other activities devoted to holidays, birthdays or memorable days are organised in the institution. Also, patients take active part in sports events and competitions together with patients from other similar institutions.
As a result of the inspection, education and living environment for children in the Specialized Boarding house No.1 in Makeevka received a positive assessment from the staff of DPR Ombudsman Office.
