On 29 May, in anticipation of the International Children’s Day, chief executives of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic visited Uglegorsk Special General Education Boarding School No.6, attended by orphans and children deprived of parental care with mental and neuropsychiatric diseases.
Staff of the human rights institution congratulated the children on behalf of the Ombudsman. They gave sweets to the students and wished them peaceful skies, happiness and good health. The children invited guests to play games and dance together. At the end of the event, they thanked the human rights defenders for presents and enjoyable activities.
The event was also attended by students and teachers of the Donetsk Academy of Internal Affairs, who came to congratulate the children as well. Representatives of the Human Rights Ombudsman Office noted the need to pay special attention to students at such institutions and to hold events that bring love and warmth to those who especially need support.
