Representatives of the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Office conducted an inspection of the educational process and living conditions in the Gorlovka Sanatorium General Education Boarding School No.9 Currently, 103 children with cardiovascular diseases attend the school.

The boarding school has a library, classrooms for general subjects, computer science classrooms, home economy classrooms, a museum of military glory, a room with interior of Slavic homes, rooms for psychological relief and recreation, a sports hall, a canteen and bedrooms.  Outside there is a playground with everything necessary for activities and recreation.

Children (grades 1 to 9) stay in the institution for 24 hours. Also, there is a Saturday/Sunday group. The number of students in each group meets the requirement and does not exceed 20 pupils. Education in the boarding school is conducted under the syllabus of general educational institutions. Psychologist diagnoses deviant behaviour of pupils, provides individual psychological assistance to children.

The boarding school has a medical unit with a  procedure room, an isolation ward, a physiotherapy room, which has an ultraviolet bactericidal irradiator, ultrasound devices, inhalers, and an Amplipulse. There are also two isolation wards used to monitor the health of sick children and provide them with first aid.

The pupils attend sports and crafts clubs. Students are actively involved in city and Republican contests and competitions.

Education and living environment for children in the Gorlovka Sanatorium General Education Boarding School No.9 were positively assessed by the inspectors.
