Representatives of DPR Ombudsman Office visit Enakievo Special General Education Boarding School No.30

Representatives of the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Office conducted an inspection of the educational process and living conditions in the Enakievo Special General Education Boarding School No.30 At the moment, the school is attended by 113 children with disabilities in need of rehabilitation regarding their physical or mental development.

The institution is a four-storey building with classrooms, a canteen, a sleeping and a medical sections, rooms for recreation and educational self-management, a library, a hall for physical therapy, rooms for improvement of psychomotor and sensory systems, social adaptation and labour training, a sewing workshop, as well as rooms for teachers, speech therapists, a psychologist. There is a laundry in a separate building. Outside there is a football field and a playground.

The institution educates children from 1st to 9th form. The number of students in each group meets the standards. The educational process has been adapted for students with special needs. It has been designed to develop physical, psychological and intellectual capabilities of children based on their abilities and preferences.  Special attention is devoted to vocational education, namely to sewing and plastering. Graduates of the school receive a certificate of the established model, which entitles them to enter secondary vocational schools.

There are sports and crafts clubs for children. Pedagogues have individual approach to each student. The pupils actively participate in contests and competitions, where they take prizes.

As a result of the inspection, education and living environment for children in the Enakievo Special General Education Boarding School No. 30 received a positive assessment from the staff of DPR Ombudsman Office.

DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova expressed gratitude to the administration and staff of the facility for faithful implementation of their duties.
