On 5 February, Representatives of the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Office conducted an inspection of the educational process and living conditions in Amvrosyevka boarding school No.4. Currently, 179 orphans and children deprived of parental care attend the school.
There are a library, an ethnographic museum and a museum devoted to A.S. Pushkin, a medical unit, bedrooms, game rooms, a living room for spending time with relatives, a hairdresser’s, a music hall, a gym and a sports hall with all necessary equipment and sports items. Outside there are fruit trees, two football fields, basketball and volleyball courts, a laundry room and a workshop.
The institution educates children from 1 to 11 form. The number of students in each group meets the standards. The school has all the necessary technical equipment. In the rooms, there are TV sets, multimedia projectors and laptops.
Special attention is devoted to vocational education. Thus, there are woodworking and metalworking workshops. Children are taught sewing, embroidering, knitting and cooking. Thus, children can master professions of seamstress, carpenter and chef, which enables them to further receive vocational education in relevant areas.
A paediatrician, a dentist, nurses and educators monitor the children’s physical welfare and observance of the special regime.
The pupils attend sports and crafts clubs. The institution collaborates with the Republican Sports School for socially unprotected children, with the Donetsk Republican Centre for Tourism and Local Studies for young students, as well as with the Donetsk Republican Ecological and Naturalistic Centre.
Education and living environment for children in the Amvrosyevka boarding school No.4 received a positive assessment from the Ombudsman Office representatives. They expressed appreciation to the administration and staff of the facility for faithful implementation of their duties.
