Today, my representatives are taking part in the traditional Russian forum “Community”. This time it is held in the city of Voronezh. It should be reminded you that “Community” is an open working platform for dialogue between society and the authorities, created on the initiative of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.
The topic proposed for discussion is extremely relevant in today’s conditions – “Traditions and values at the heart of the future of the country.” Of course, in its context, the issues of conducting the SMO, social support for military personnel and their families, the development of NGOs and civil society institutions in new regions, as well as the investigation of the criminal actions of the Ukrainian authorities in relation to the civilian population are considered as a matter of priority.
The peculiarities of documenting the facts of war crimes of Kiev militants and bringing the perpetrators to justice were analyzed by the participants at the platform “Uniting for Victory”, where Viktor Gavrilov, Deputy Head of the Office of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the DPR, made a report.
He, in particular, spoke about our work in this direction since 2014, namely the problem of people went missing due to Ukrainian aggression, and also shared his experience in organizing search activities using the example of the work of a special Interdepartmental Commission.
Colleagues also familiarized the participants with my Special Report “On Violations of Human Rights by Ukraine on the Territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic during the Special Military Operation (24.02.2022-24.02.2023)” and handed it over to the International Public Tribunal for the Crimes of Ukrainian Neo-Nazis and their accomplices.
The dialogue has been fruitful. I am sure that it helps to increase the efficiency of the work on establishing the facts of war crimes in Ukraine and the maximum implementation of the tasks of the tribunal.
