Reception Day in Working Group of DPR Ombudsman Office

Since 2014, The DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Office, led by Daria Morozova, has been dealing with problems of citizens affected by the military operations. The Working Group on Issues of Temporary Displaced Persons was established with the view to keep a record of victims, to resolve psychological, social, humanitarian and other problems of displaced persons. Specialists of the Working Group daily provide assistance to citizens who suffer from injuries or material damage as a result of hostilities, as well as to people persecuted by other states for supporting the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Yesterday, on 26 July, 17 persons applied to the Working Group of the Ombudsman Office. Specialists of the Working Group gave advice to affected citizens on issues related to identity documents issue, certificate of a displaced person, formalizing pension and social payments, receiving humanitarian aid in the form of food packages and hygiene kits. They also facilitated accommodating affected people in social housing objects of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Also, in order to facilitate rehabilitation of citizens, affected by military operations, staff of the Working Group engaged volunteer psychologists, who provided free-of-charge counselling for citizens.
