The public reception of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the DPR in Mariupol was organized in July this year, immediately after the stabilization of the security situation in the city. We were aimed at increasing the effectiveness of communications with citizens living in the liberated territories by opening it. It was important that the inhabitants of the south of the Republic could turn to us for help without leaving the city. And today, following the results of six months of work, I am absolutely convinced that this was the right step.
My representatives have already held about 500 consultations of citizens in the public reception. More than 100 written applications were received. Each appeal is considered in the prescribed manner. All applicants were provided with assistance either on the merits by taking appropriate response measures, or in the form of explanations of the methods and ways of legal protection in the form of legal education.
In the story of the Mariupol 24 TV channel, my representatives spoke about the problems that Mariupol residents most often turn to us with, and what kind of assistance they receive.
For my part, it should be reminded that the Public Reception of the DPR Office of the Ombudsman works at the address: Mariupol, Gromovoi Street, 63. Schedule of reception of citizens: Monday-Thursday – from 9:00 to 16:00; Friday – from 9:00 to 15:00. Break – from 12:00 to 12:48.
Absolutely any citizen who thinks that his/her rights have been infringed or violated can turn to me and my representatives for help.
