On 7 September, the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic Daria Morozova participated in commemorative events on the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Donbass from fascist invaders. The events took place in the territory of the Saur-Mogila Memorial.
Residents, servicemen and representatives of the leadership of the Republic gathered to pay well-deserved respects to and lay flowers in memory of those who shed blood in the battles for Donbass at a strategically important height. Those present observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to the fallen defenders of the Motherland, who liberated Donbass from German occupation during the Great Patriotic War, as well as the heroes of the militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic, who defended the legendary height in the summer of 2014 from the armed formations of Ukraine.
“The day of the liberation of Donbass is a day of glory and memory. The inhabitants of our region will never forget the legendary fathers and grandfathers, as well as worthy contemporaries who repeated the feat of their ancestors and gave their lives for our freedom with you. The memory of everyone who fell in the battle for their homeland will live in our hearts forever. Thank you! ”Said Daria Morozova.
