The Donetsk People’s Republic is ready for a full ceasefire in Donbass since September 1, the DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova told reporters on Wednesday.
Earlier, at the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine in Minsk, the parties to the conflict agreed to make another attempt to achieve a ceasefire on the contact line since midnight on September 1.
“As a DPR representative, I can tell that we fully support the Minsk agreements, and we are ready for a complete ceasefire. However, based on our previous experience, we can tell that Ukraine is not willing to fulfil its obligations … I hope that tomorrow the Ukrainian side will be persuaded that the Minsk agreements must be respected,” she said about the expected ceasefire of September 1.
