Ombudsman of the Donetsk People’s Republic stated that 95% of DPR supporters released as a result of the exchange were subjected to torture by Ukrainian military men.
Earlier, DPR authorities repeatedly stated that there is evidence of applying torture to captured DPR supporters by staffs of Ukrainian special services and subdivisions of armed forces. Operational Command of the Republic had reported about deaths of captured DPR servicemen from torture.
“Since the beginning of the conflict, we exchanged 800 persons.95% of those released experienced torture…I’d prefer not to describe how sophisticated it was,” Daria Morozova told RIA Novosti correspondent.
