On 20 February, representatives of the DPR Human Rights Ombudsman participated in a meeting of the Working Group devoted to discussion of the draft law On displaced persons of the Interim Commission of the DPR People’s Council on Activity Control and Coordination in the areas most affected by the armed aggression of Ukraine.
At the meeting, the attendees revised basic provisions of the draft law, specified the rights and freedoms of persons recognized as displaced persons, as well as cases of loss or withdrawal of such a status.
At the next meeting of the Working Group, it is planned to elaborate a mechanism of interaction with public authorities aimed at implementation of the draft law.
