Ombudsman Office organises psychological counselling for residents of the Republic

With the view to identify psychological problems, help citizens’ rehabilitation, adaptation and socialization, volunteer psychologists, under the auspices of the DPR Ombudsman Office, regularly conduct activities aimed at relieving psychological tension for older people, families of missing persons, rehabilitation of children injured as a result of hostilities.

Also, a free diagnosis of the emotional state of children, adults, people with disabilities is conducted. In addition, citizens receive assistance in obtaining humanitarian aid and medicines.

In March 2018, 53 people received psychological counselling and therapy, 37 people received social counselling and assistance.

It is necessary to remind that a free psychological counselling is available for: families of missing persons; victims of hostilities; displaced persons and their families; pregnant women; large families; veterans of the Great Patriotic War and children of war; poor families; families with young children; persons with disabilities; children in orphanages, family-type homes; orphans; single mothers; persons released from captivity.
