Evacuated from Mariupol to Donetsk, 16-year-old Ivan Matkovsky and 15-year-old Maxim Boyko are returning to the territory of Ukraine. Today, on June 3, accompanied by human rights activists and representatives of guardianship authorities, they were handed over to their legal representative.
The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova, the Human Rights Ombudsman in the DPR Daria Morozova, and the Director of the DPR State Service for Family and Children Affairs Svetlana Maiboroda assisted in the preparation of the necessary documents and the organization of transferring.
It should be noted that both teenagers are orphans. Their legal representative is the director of the Mariupol Construction College, where the guys studied before the beginning of hostilities. Now the man lives and works on the territory of Ukraine. Ivan and Maxim wanted to remain under the care of the head of the educational institution and continue their studies under his supervision.
