The DPR Ombudsman Office hosted a meeting of the Republican Commission on Accommodation of Affected People held in the Ombudsman Office.
At the meeting, the most pressing issues were discussed by the Commission members, and an open voting on each item of the agenda was held.
The major attention was devoted to determining a status of Temporary Accommodation Centres/ Long-term Accommodation Centres (TAC/LAC), identifying categories of citizens affected by hostilities, a mechanism of cooperation of the Republican Committee and Territorial Commissions, and assignment of functional responsibilities among areas of responsibility.
As a result of the meeting, productive work has been done on the introduction of an improved mechanism of accommodation of affected people in TAC/LAC of the DPR.
In order to resolve legal issues concerning accommodation of affected persons, ensure adequate living conditions for them, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Alexander Zakharchenko signed a Decree “On Temporary Accommodation Centres/ Long-term Accommodation Centres in the Donetsk People’s Republic” of 24.04.2018 No.137.
