Since the beginning of the conflict in Donbass, 91 children have died as a result of Ukraine’s armed aggression on the territory of the DPR. Today, on March 24, the Ombudsman in the DPR Daria Morozova told foreign journalists about this in Donetsk. Communication with representatives of foreign media took place during a briefing on the territory of the memorial complex “Alley of Angels”.
According to Daria Morozova, the deaths of the children of Donbass are a direct consequence of the coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014 and the subsequent massive indiscriminate shelling of the Republic. Through the fault of the Ukrainian authorities, fundamental rights of minors in the region were completely infringed, including the right to life.
“For each fact of the death of a child from Ukrainian shells in the DPR, criminal cases have been initiated. They are part of the evidence base for war crimes of the AFU. All relevant materials will be presented during the future tribunal Donbass gnocide,” the Ombudsman stressed.
