Once again we see that the Ukrainian side violates the norms of international law, using prohibited methods and means of warfare, involving children into criminal and sabotage activities. We will raise this issue at the next meeting of the humanitarian subgroup in Minsk. We will also inform UNICEF representatives thereof.
I draw your attention to the fact that there is an article in the Ukrainian Criminal Code, which provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty from 3 to 7 years for the involvement of underage children into sabotage activities. In addition, we cannot ignore this cynical and inordinate use of teenagers to commit crimes against the residents of the Republic.
I call on international human rights organizations to pay attention to the involvement of children in criminal and sabotage activities by the representatives of Ukrainian law enforcement structures. This case is one more reason to worry about the fate of our children, taken by the Ukrainian side outside the Republic. It is difficult to imagine what the Ukrainian security forces are capable of when it comes to Donbass children.
I remind the official Kiev of the responsibility to protect children from the consequences of the armed conflict and direct involvement in military operations.
