At the meeting of the humanitarian subgroup in Minsk, we discussed one of the main issues on the agenda, namely, the release of all illegally detained persons by the Ukrainian side and the holding the long-awaited exchange through the “all-for-all” formula. Despite the fact that the Donetsk People’s Republic is more than ready for the speedy implementation of the 6th paragraph of the Package of Measures to the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, we were unable to reach compromise with the Ukrainian side on the exchange. The official Kiev didn’t give any response to our proposal to hold the exchange.
Once again, the Ukrainian side demonstrated its inconsistency, it is not ready for a constructive dialogue. Yet once more, we appeal to the President of Ukraine Poroshenko to make a political decision and exchange those persons who will be identified by both sides on the New Year’s eve.
