Comment of Daria Morozova on the release of 15 persons by the Ukrainian side

Comments and statements of the Ombudsman News

Yesterday, 15 persons, formerly detained by the Ukrainian side, were transferred near “Mayorsk” checkpoint. 10 of them are from Donetsk People’s Republic, 5 – from Lughansk People’s Republic. Most of them are women.
This was the first case, when the Ukrainian side conducted the transfer unilaterally since the beginning of the conflict. I remind that we have transferred 80 persons to our opponents as a gesture of goodwill.
Mothers of the Ukrainian prisoners of war were present on the transfer procedure. I had a talk with them and I stressed once again that Republic is ready to release their sons, but only under the procedure envisaged in paragraph 5 of the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
Again, the executive decision of Mr. Poroshenko is everything we need to carry out the release of all people. I hope, the decision will be made and we will conduct the exchange though “all for all” formula by Christmas Eve, and our people will be at home with their relatives.
