Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office transferred about 13 thousand sets of humanitarian aid to needy year to date

Since the beginning of 2020, the Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office in the DPR transferred about 13 thousand sets of humanitarian aid to needy residents of the Republic. Today, the Ombudsman of the Republic Daria Morozova informed ДАН about this.

“In 2020, over 12,8 thousand food and hygiene kits were issued to citizens affected by the armed conflict and living in social facilities”, – Morozova noted.

She added that the food kits include cereals, sugar, yeast, flour, vegetable oil, canned fish and meat, tea. Hygiene kits include personal items, shampoo, soap, and laundry detergent. In addition, based on the needs of the recipients, sets of bed linen, towels, blankets, first aid kits, reusable diapers, disinfectants, outerwear, shoes and stationery were provided.

“To solve the problems of the civilian population of the DPR, living in conditions of the armed conflict, we interact with various international organizations. A range of humanitarian programs, within the framework of cooperation, is implemented on the territory of the DPR to provide assistance to people affected by the conflict, i.e. people living in social facilities; families of missing persons; persons injured or disabled as a result of the aggression by Ukraine ”, – Morozova emphasized.
